This one started as an experiment.
Together with Citarasa Tradisi, we took two drinks from their menu, Ganola and Rosegold Lychee, and treated them less like products and more like subjects. Each became a small study in colour, light, and composition.
Ganola’s two tones, deep violet over warm amber, set the palette for one half of the series. Rosegold Lychee’s red, broken up by the facets of its glass, set the other. Around them we built quiet still lifes from driftwood, stone, and flowers, then pushed the backdrops from pale, airy blues into dark, saturated gradients to see how far each drink could carry a frame.
The stills went on to the café’s menu boards and posters. The moving frames stayed close and slow: condensation running down the glass, ice settling, two colours meeting in the middle.
Two tones, one good sip, and plenty of room to play.
